Summer can be a time where we tend to slow down. It’s a great time to reflect, enjoy community and dive deeper into spiritual truths. So, this summer, we decided to explore what it means be a citizen of the kingdom.
Summer Team is going to engage in God’s Word (with an emphasis on the Life of David), spending time in prayer and worship, building relationships over meals, growing our community through volleyball (and other outdoor activities), and taking a weekend retreat. If you will be spending your summer in Columbus, we invite you to join us!
We will meet every Wednesday night from 7p-9p, but will also have other opportunities throughout the week to spend time together. Sign up here!
If you won’t be in Columbus for the summer but are still interested in regularly connecting with others from H2O in your area via a satellite small group, please fill out this form!
Summer Team Retreat: Waiting on God
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!” Matthew 7:7-11
We have a heavenly Father who invites us to ask him for our heart’s desire and pray with faith that He will respond. As a team this summer, we aim to seek God in prayer with the expectation that He will move in our lives. Come and join us for a short getaway retreat in God’s creation as we engage in what it means to be a community of faith. We’ll have some s’mores by the fire, hear a talk about engaging with God, spend some time with Jesus, and be encouraged by this community of believers we are privileged to spend the summer with.
When: 7:00p Friday 6/15 – 8:00p Saturday 6/16
